Today, I want to talk about a simple but strong word — perseverance. It means keeping going even when things are hard. I think we all need this quality in our high school life.

今天，我想和大家聊聊一个简单却充满力量的词——坚持。它指的是即使遇到困难，也要继续前行。我认为，我们在高中生活中都需要这种品质。

Let's think about our studies

Maybe you've struggled with math problems. You tried once, twice, and felt like giving up. But if you keep practicing, asking teachers or friends for help, you'll finally solve them. That's perseverance.

想想我们的学习吧。也许你曾为数学题绞尽脑汁，试了一次、两次，就想放弃了。但如果你坚持练习，向老师或朋友求助，最终一定能解出来。这就是坚持。

My Personal Experience

I remember when I started learning English speaking. I was so shy to open my mouth. Every time I tried, I made mistakes and felt embarrassed. But my teacher told me, "Mistakes are part of learning."

So I kept practicing every day — reading aloud, talking with classmates. Now, I'm not afraid to speak English in class. This small success comes from not giving up.

我记得自己刚开始学英语口语时，害羞得不敢开口。每次尝试都会犯错，然后感到尴尬。但我的老师告诉我："犯错是学习的一部分。"于是我每天坚持练习——大声朗读、和同学对话。现在，我再也不怕在课堂上说英语了。这个小小的成功，就源于不放弃。

High School Challenges

High school is full of challenges. We may face tough exams, busy homework, or difficulties in friendships. Sometimes we feel tired and want to stop. But remember: no success comes easily.

高中生活充满挑战。我们可能会面临棘手的考试、繁重的作业，或是人际关系上的难题。有时我们会感到疲惫，想要停下脚步。但请记住：没有任何成功是轻易得来的。

The difference between success and failure is whether you keep trying.

成功与失败的区别，就在于你是否愿意坚持尝试。

What is Perseverance?

Perseverance isn't about being perfect. It's about taking one more step when you want to quit. It's about believing that your efforts will pay off one day.

坚持并非追求完美，而是在你想放弃时，再迈出一步；是相信自己的努力终有一天会得到回报。

So, my dear classmates

Let's hold on to perseverance. When you feel down, tell yourself: "I can do it. Just keep going."

所以，亲爱的同学们，让我们坚守这份坚持吧。当你感到沮丧时，告诉自己： "我能行，坚持下去就好。"
